Early hard freeze end of 10/02. What can happen to a deck pond when it freezes with an air stone going. Air gets trapped underneath, raising frozen water on the top and sides. It lifted several more inches after this shot. Note plant basket stuck in ice. I had baby fantail goldfish in this that survived, plants did too. This year I will use a stock tank heater.
